“My wife and I wanted a table that could seat up to 12 on our patio but we quickly realized we were limited on size with the area we had. We wanted a unique table and we were frustrated with what the big retailers offered. So we started looking for a custom table in Virginia, then moved to an internet search in NC and found Carolina Farmstead. The team was so nice helping us plan the custom size table we needed. It took a little longer than expected due to them getting a lot of orders but that was good for them. Justin kept in communication and our table arrived the week before Thanksgiving and was at the center of our pre-Thanksgiving dinner outside with all our appetizers, oysters, clams and great conversation. We got the Fancy Fixings table and they put a double coat of marine varnish on it since it will be outside on a covered patio. The workmanship is tops, and it is solid! “Carolina Farmstead uses beautiful reclaimed wood to create one-of-a-kind dining tables. We love our table and the company was fantastic to work with. They responded quickly to our questions, and worked with us to put a spin on one of their existing table styles by designing a new custom table base. Instead of providing just a paper or plastic sample chip of the available stains, they shipped us a box of actual stained 4x4 wood pieces. They were very accommodating, professional, friendly, and they patiently stored our finished table until we had moved into our new house and were able to take delivery of it. The delivery crew took extreme care in moving this tremendously heavy table into the house, without doing any damage to either the table or the house. The combination of the rustic wood top and industrial-looking metal legs fits in perfectly with our rustic-contemporary style. Having a custom-made table adds such a warm, personal touch to our new house, and we look forward to enjoying it for many years!”

“I had the pleasure of working with Justin and the team at Carolina Farmstead on several projects last year and was thrilled with everything they produced. It started with a table. I had recently bought a house in Eastern North Carolina and wanted a great farm table for the dining room. I found Carolina Farmstead on Houzz and loved the fact they were local and that the tables were hand made. I traded emails with Justin, visited the workshop, and together we came up a design I thought would be fantastic. We were able to choose the style of the legs, the stain (or lack of stain) on the table, the color of the legs and base, even the texture of the table top. The finished product is amazing and exceeded my expectations. We love the table and I expected it’ll be something my kids fight over when I’m dead. While the table was being made, I asked Justin if he could help with a butcher block countertop. I sent him pictures of what we liked on Houzz and he said they could do it. Again the finished product was better than I had hoped and is the centerpiece of our new kitchen. Throughout the process, Justin and his team were great. Proactively asking questions to make sure we got what we wanted, ensuring the sink we chose fit perfectly, etc. In addition, we bought reclaimed pine flooring from Justin and had it installed by a firm he recommended. As with the table and countertop, the floors are awesome and exceeded expectations. I’ve included pictures of the table and counter and you can see the floors as well. In our opinion, everything came out great and everyone who comes through the house mentioned three things, the table, the floors and the butcher-block countertop. Throughout all of this, I was in regular contact with Justin and he was responsive, flexible and helpful. I can’t recommend Carolina Farmstead more highly. They are great people to work with and the produce really beautiful products.”
